History

Point of Beach, Harbour Grace, has been the home of shipbuilding, repair and refit for over 200 years. Harbour Grace Ocean Enterprises is proud to carry on that tradition while embracing modern technology and innovative approaches to carry on a Harbour Grace industry steeped in the history of the town. Our yard operates year-round and is an ice-free port.

Ship & Vessel Refit & Repair

A mainstay of the business, we have over 100 clients throughout the fishing industry, Canadian coast guard, provincial ferries and tug and barge companies. The fishing industry is our core business sector and will remain so as we build our client base to include other industries. Both steel and fibreglass vessels can be serviced at our facility.

New Vessel Construction

We are ready to build a boat for you, let us quote your new design. HGOE is excited about the potential opportunity to build new ferries for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Other new projects include fishing boats, tug boats and barges for our offshore industry supply clients.

Offshore Energy Sector
